YOGA ALLIANCE CERTIFIED

Planet Yoga has been conducting yoga teacher training and further education courses according to the guidelines of the Yoga Alliance since 2008. The students benefit from the many years of experience of the teaching staff. In our training it is important to us to create a personal atmosphere so that the participants can develop individually.

Therefore, the number of participants per training is limited.

300H TEACHER TRAINING (CONTINUING EDUCATION)

The 300h Yoga Alliance certified teacher training at our yoga school is aimed at yoga teachers with a 200h diploma who want to deepen their own practice and are interested in expanding their knowledge and practical skills in teaching, including in the areas of anatomy and philosophy. The course allows you to register with the Yoga Alliance with a 500h certification.

A special focus of the training is individual coaching - it is important to us that you find your own teaching style and we support you on your journey.

YOGA STYLES

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic yoga style that has its roots in Shri K. Patthabi Jois' Indian Ashtanga Vinyasa system and was further developed in the 1980s. Vinyasa Yoga is challenging, aesthetic and moving. This style of yoga strengthens and revitalizes the body. Mental clarity sets in and general well-being is sought at every level.

Yin yoga

Yin Yoga is a passive and restorative style of yoga developed by Paul Grilley. It consists mainly of asanas that are practiced on the floor and held for a long time. The body is stretched right down to the fascia (connective tissue), deep-seated tension is released and mobility is increased.

TRAINING INFO

300H TEACHER TRAINING

The training has five focal points and deals with the following aspects, among others:

  • Structure and alignment of complex asanas

  • Pranayama Techniques

  • Mantra, mudra and chanting

  • Meditation and concentration practices

  • Reflection on your own practice

  • individual analysis of teaching style

  • Teaching methodology and didactics

  • meaningful and creative asana sequencing

  • individual coaching and mentoring

  • Correction options, individual adjustments and assistance

  • Yin Yoga

  • applied anatomy (visual analysis, neuro- and muscle physiology, dealing with pain and limitations)

  • Yoga philosophy (systematic approach, embedding in modern Western philosophy, transfer to your own practice and teaching)

  • Ethics and challenges in teaching

In addition to these topics dealt with within the five main areas, the training also offers you insights into other areas. After passing the exams   - in the form of a written exam, an essay and teaching one hour at Planet Yoga including a discussion - you will receive your diploma and can then be certified at Yoga Alliance with 500h .

I
Asana, Pranayama, Meditation – own practice

Reflect on your own practice, develop a structural understanding of asanas, learn advanced pranayama and meditation techniques:

You learn to reflect on your own practice and better understand strengths and weaknesses. We work through more complex asanas in a systematic way so that you gain a deeper understanding of structure and alignment and can transform your own practice. Studying advanced pranayama and meditation techniques will expand your knowledge in these areas and your ability to connect them to asana practice.

II.
Didactics, methodology, sequencing –

own lessons

Analyze your own teaching style, gain more competence and security through individual coaching and mentoring, develop your own teaching style:

We start with your teaching and subject it to a precise analysis: How are your sequences structured? how do you lead How do you respond to each situation and class? How do you keep the energy in the room? On this basis, you will be supported in developing your own teaching style through individual coaching and mentoring as well as trying out techniques and tools for teaching. You have the opportunity to teach a class in Planet Yoga, apply what you have learned directly and receive direct feedback. In this module you will also learn what to consider when preparing workshops and private classes and how to carry them out successfully.

III.
Yin yoga

Vary basic positions with individual adjustments, understand the world of fascia, recognize structural limitations and react to them:

In the Yin module we illuminate the world of fascia and its influence on the musculoskeletal system. With "body type tests" you learn to vary the Yin positions in a meaningful way and to adapt them individually to the body type of your students. You develop the ability to recognize and react to structural limitations. Learning exactly how to differentiate between tension and pressure (tension vs. compression) opens up a new perspective on your own practice as well as on teaching. You gain confidence in the use of tools and learn to use them sensibly.

IV
anatomy

Deepen anatomical understanding, practice body-adapted corrections, learn how to deal with pain and limitations:

The functional yoga anatomy will be taught to you in a very practice-oriented manner. You will learn to visually analyze your private customers or students and in this way to recognize where their limitations come from and how you can react to them. You learn to deal with pain and injuries. Deepen your knowledge of neuro and muscle physiology, the nervous system and the influence of yoga positions on your endocrine system.

V
yoga philosophy

Deepen existing knowledge, develop new perspectives, transfer it into your own practice and learn in the classroom:

You will deepen your existing knowledge and, in particular, you will learn how to put central concepts of yoga philosophy into a systematic context. By including modern Western philosophy, you gain new (constructive, but also critical) perspectives on the yoga philosophy and can thus better classify it in the context of today's cultures and make it understandable. Many practical examples and exercises for the transfer into yoga practice enable you to integrate topics from the yoga philosophy more into your own practice and into your classes.

REQUIREMENTS

Participation in the training requires a 200h yoga teacher training (Yoga Alliance) and a healthy physical and mental condition. This training is not suitable for people with physical disabilities (injuries, pregnancy, etc.). Prerequisite for receiving the diploma is attendance at 98% of the training units. In the case of absences of more than 4 hours, these must be made up for in the following year, which delays receipt of the diploma by one year.
