Do you feel unsafe when a pregnant woman or a postnatal woman attends your yoga class? The woman's body is exposed to increased stress during this time and the psyche is particularly sensitive. Learn to deal with this challenge more professionally and be prepared to better support women during pregnancy.

Pregnancy is a wonderful time. A small life grows beneath the hearts of women. Calmness, peace and serenity, the growing child feels all of this clearly. The time after birth is a magical, but also challenging time, which requires courage to allow the changes.

When women are empowered and supported, their child is gifted with basic trust and learns that the world is a safer place.

This advanced module focuses primarily on exercises for pregnancy and childbirth preparation. However, we will also go into the time after the birth and the recovery phase. We pay attention to the interaction of conscious breathing, the correct alignment of the spine, flowing movements from classic yoga, relaxation and tones.

Theory and practical exercises are interwoven so that women can gain a deeper understanding of the positive effects of yoga during this special time. Not only the physical and hormonal changes that a woman goes through during pregnancy, childbirth and afterwards are taken into account, but also the emotional and spiritual ones.

THIS ADVANCED MODULE INCLUDES:

  • Basics of healthy and safe practice during pregnancy
  • Getting to know various yoga exercises especially for pregnant women to promote the ability to perceive and relax
  • Strengthening asanas that support the new body load
  • Getting to know breathing exercises and energy management
  • Consideration & perception of hormonal changes
  • Relaxation techniques (various meditation, body scan and savasana)
  • Breathing techniques and sounds to support childbirth
  • Meditative exercises and visualizations for childbirth preparation

THIS MODULE IS SUITABLE FOR:

Teachers from the following fields: Yoga teachers, midwives, meditation or relaxation coaches, fitness instructors, nursing staff, physiotherapists and naturopaths.

Pregnant women who want to gain more security and knowledge for their own yoga practice.
